How could we celebrate Volunteers Week without the fabulous Paul‼
Most of you will know Paul quite well, but for those who don't, Paul has been a part of the Pennine Mencap team for quite some time🤝
Paul has supported us a lot, especially with his generous craftsmanship in our last Drama show🎭
We love having such a friendly face join us each week at the Centre⭐️
THANK YOU Paul🙌

In last week's Cookalong we marked Eid with a nod to North African cuisine, while also keeping it fresh and hydrating in the heatwave!

We made three different salads, originally from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, all served with simple, traditional flatbreads.

The first was made with cucumber, mint, capers and preserved lemon.

The second was a spiced potato salad with plenty of cumin and paprika.

The third and final salad mixed freshly roasted beetroot with orange segments, parsley and orange blossom water.

All delicate stuff that required skill and patience from the Cookalong chefs - but 100% worth the effort!

Last week's Cookalong was a fun one indeed🍽
With the rise of the temperature, we thought there was no better way to cool down than to make some yummy North African Salads🌍
We prepared and enjoyed THREE varied salads from Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria 🥗
These ranged in flavours and textures, with some featuring a zesty twist and others providing savoury spice🍋
These were served on flatbreads and made for a perfect colourful posed plate photo🫓
Well done everyone‼

Our Eurovision Themed Friday night club gets 10 points from us!

🎵 Celebrating all Eurovision Royalty we danced to the songs that made Eurovision legendary. 🪩✨

✨ It was a night of glitter, sequins, cheesy anthems, and Eurovision magic. 🎶🪩

What a CRAZY month we had in MAY✨
May was filled with so many amazing fundraising events from so many wonderful individuals❗️
From a sponsored skydive, ladies' day and the Manchester 10K🙌
We truly are so lucky for all the wild and wonderful ways that these amazing individuals support us through😁
Fundraising like this is vital in the continuation of the work we do here at Pennine Mencap 🏆
We couldn't do it without you🎉
