Introducing Lisa Whiteside, the Chadderton-born artist behind our next Town of Culture project 👋

Inspired by local people seeking asylum, her play Bus Ride to Boom Town follows a young boy seeking sanctuary who arrives in Oldham with one bus ticket.

Young people will help write and perform the play, taking audiences on a whistle-stop tour of Oldham, from rag pudding and Latics match days to local legends and history ⚽️🥧🎬🩵
