The scarecrows are taking shape ready for the first Chadderton scarecrow trail 👀🙌
Are you looking for a half term activity that doesn't cost a fortune? 🙏🏻
Or maybe it's weekend plans that involve an Autumnal local walk? 🍂

Look no further... launching 17th October until 1st November, the first Chadderton scarecrow festival. (Find us on Facebook)
There's 24 scarecrows in total to find, follow the trail inside the map booklet. Here's a sneaky peek at one of the scarecrows on our trail 👀🤫

Raising money for the Rainbow rooms at St Mary's hospital in Manchester, a ward that supports beareaved families and offers 3D foot casting of their precious babies taken too soon. ✨️

Maps are £3 and can be purchased via the QR code/link below or at one of our map locations.

We would love it if people could support our community trail by sharing this post, spreading the news by word of mouth and buying a map. Our scarecrow entrants have spent a long time preparing and making them, and we'd love everyone to enjoy the hard work that's gone into this community event 🧡🌾

Looking for an activity to do this half term with the whole family? 👀
We'd love it if you could support our Chadderton scarecrow trail in it's first year 🫶🏻

Running from 17th October until 1st November.

There's 24 scarecrow displays to find, and the only way to find them is by purchasing one of our maps for £3 🙌

You can purchase it by signing up using the QR code above and visiting one of our locations to collect your map, or alternatively visit the locations with the change and collect one that way.

All funds raised from our community event are being donated to the Rainbow Rooms at St Mary's, who offer care and support to families that have experienced baby or pregnancy loss. These funds will be used to update rooms and ensure they are suitable for families and also to offer and fund 3D foot casting of their babies as a comfort.

Join us this Saturday from 10am for our charity car wash at Chadderton Community Fire Station. Our firefighters will be on hand to get your car sparkling clean, all while raising money for Fire Fighters Charity!

⚠️ Important Notice: Essential Maintenance – Chadderton Wellbeing Centre

Floor refurbishment work is taking place in the main entrance from 20th to 27th October. Stairs will be used to access most Oldham Active facilities during this time.

⚠️ Temporary access
All areas, Pool, Sauna, Gym and Studio can be accessed via the door to the left of the main entrance.

• Staff will be onsite throughout to signpost members to the right route
• The lift will be available on request for anyone who needs it.
• Where possible, please avoid bringing prams or buggies during this period, as access will be limited.
• No Easyline classes will run during this period.

The female-only gym, main gym, swimming lessons, and group exercise classes will all continue to operate as usual.

⚠️ Card Payments only
During this period, we can only accept card payments; cash will not be accepted. If you'd prefer to pay in cash, you can pay in advance at any of our other sites and, leading up to the maintenance date, 20th October, at Chadderton.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we carry out this work. Normal access resumes on 28th October.
