⚠️ An Amber Heat Health Alert is in place across the North West this week as temperatures rise across West Lancashire.
The hot and humid conditions are expected to continue through much of the week, with very warm nights offering little relief.
Please take a few simple steps to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🧴 Wear sunscreen and seek shade where possible
🧢 Wear light clothing and a hat
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains and blinds during the hottest part of the day
👵 Check on older relatives, neighbours and anyone who may be vulnerable
Heat can affect anyone, but young children, older people and those with existing health conditions are most at risk.

Invasive non-native species (plants and animals) threaten the survival of native wildlife and our natural ecosystems, cost the economy nearly £2 billion a year, and can even harm our health and interfere with activities we enjoy.

Invasive Species Week is an annual event to raise awareness of invasive non-native species and how everyone can help prevent their spread.
