Jasper joins us as a Degree Apprentice, studying at UCLAN, and will be working alongside our fire engineering team while completing his degree.

It's a great way to build a career in fire safety, learning on the job while gaining the qualifications behind it, and we’re looking forward to supporting him through the apprenticeship and watching him grow into the role.

Since January 2023, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations have required Higher-Risk Buildings over 18m existing or over 11m new to have a Secure Information Box on site.

It gives Fire and Rescue Services the building plans, evacuation strategy and system status information they need the moment they arrive.

From April 2026, the Building Safety Regulator takes on oversight of HRBs, and failure to provide or maintain a SIB is a breach of the law with real enforcement consequences.

Endeavour Group helps building owners and Responsible Persons get their SIB right, keep it current, and ensure it’s ready should it ever be required.

Endeavour Group is working alongside NW Fire Solutions to deliver specialist fire engineering consultancy for a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development in Fraserburgh.

The joint venture scope covers the Fire Strategy, Fire Safety Management System and Emergency Response Planning for the site. This is built on an engineering-led approach that includes hazard identification (HAZID), barrier analysis, cause-and-effect assessment, regulatory compliance review and plume dispersion modelling to assess and manage the risks associated with lithium-ion battery energy storage systems.

The scope includes assessing thermal runaway, fire propagation and toxic gas release scenarios, reviewing detection and suppression arrangements, and developing firefighting water supply strategies alongside emergency response documentation.

Endeavour Group and NW Fire Solutions will deliver this jointly through a strategic fire engineering partnership, providing independent technical assurance, fire strategy development, emergency planning, and specialist battery energy storage system fire engineering support.

This is a great example of the technical assurance work Endeavour can provide on complex energy infrastructure, from early design through to energisation.

Under the Building Safety Act, an RFI is issued when a fire risk assessment doesn't hold enough detail to reach a judgement.

If the external wall construction and materials aren't specified, the fire performance of the wall system can't be assessed, which leaves a gap in the fire safety picture for the building and the people living in it.

Endeavour Group works through these gaps with clients so every RFI response is accurate, complete and ready to support a safer outcome.

Today sees the first intake of the Level 6 Diploma in Advanced Fire Safety Design and Building Risk Management.

This ProQual Awarding Body-accredited, Ofqual-regulated qualification is built for advanced fire safety professionals working with complex and higher-risk buildings.

Developed and authored by Endeavour Group, it draws on years of experience across complex and higher-risk building portfolios.

It covers fire strategy, external wall risk, performance-based design and Golden Thread requirements, giving learners the depth needed to review design intent and support safety case assurance in regulated environments.

Today is the first day of the course, delivered by Founder and Director James Doyle over the next 12 months, with assessment through portfolio work, technical evaluations, and professional discussion.

Emergency lighting replacements at The Foundry 1 in Loughborough 💡

When mains power fails during a fire or a power cut, the result is sudden darkness. That's when emergency lighting does its job, guiding people to escape routes and exits when panic and physical danger are most likely.

It's not optional either. Article 14 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires escape routes and exits to be signed and illuminated where needed. Keeping these systems working is part of keeping a building compliant.
