Please be advised that as part of the A320 North of Woking Scheme, Green Lane, where it meets Guildford Road, will be closed for approximately one week during the upcoming half term.

Statement from Reform UK West Surrey Group…

Following discussions between members of the Reform group regarding its leadership
and future direction, Cllr. Jim McIlroy has decided to stand down as leader and leave the group.

Members felt a change in leadership was necessary to move forward effectively and
tackle our objectives. Cllr. McIlroy has subsequently taken the decision to step away from the group altogether.

We thank him for his contribution and wish him well. The group will now focus on
moving forward together, providing effective opposition and delivering on the commitments and principles on which we were elected.

Work to increase capacity and improve traffic flows at the M25 junction 11 roundabout are continuing with a weekend closure of the clockwise exit slip road at junction 11.

The closure will be in place from 11pm Friday 9 October to 5am Monday 12 October.

Just wanted to give you an update on Murray House Playground in Ottershaw.

Work started last week, and pieces of equipment are starting to be put in the ground.

Opening day will be at the beginning of November. Ill keep everyone updated.

Is your dog far right? 🐕🍺

This week Labour's Nature Minister, Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, told a conference fringe event that she lies awake at night worrying about a vision of Britain with "warm ale, a black Labrador by your feet in a pub". She called it a "far-Right nostalgic vision" that "never really existed".

Never really existed? Tell that to every country pub landlord in Surrey, and every family that walks the dog across the fields on a Sunday and stops for a pint on the way home. It exists. It's real life for millions of people. Ironically, it includes the minister herself, who has posted photos of her own black Labrador by the fire.

This is what happens when politicians spend too long in Westminster. Ordinary, harmless things that people love about this country start to look suspicious to them. Pubs are closing at record rates, farmers are being squeezed, rural communities feel ignored, and Labour's worry is the Labrador.

Reform will stand up for the countryside, the pub and the people who live there. And their dogs.
