Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has contested Nigeria’s presidency multiple times, across some of the country’s biggest political parties.

But after all these attempts, one question deserves an honest answer: Is it time to pass the baton?

Not because experience no longer matters, but because perhaps Nigeria’s next chapter requires a different generation of leaders.

Should Atiku run again in 2027, or is it time for a new generation to take the shot?

Hon. Seyi Adisa (Seyi J. Adisa), Khalil Nur Khalil (Khalil Nur Khalil), Daniel Otabor (Daniel Otabor), Dr Ayokunnu Ojeniyi (Ayokunnu Ojeniyi), Arionla Daniel (Arinola Addo Daniel) Gloria Babarinde (Gloria Babarinde- The Quintessential MC) and Damilola Adefulire, Founder of Youth Be Involved (Damilola).

Different experiences, different perspectives, but one shared conviction that a better Nigeria must be built, not merely imagined.

YBI is honoured to share this moment with fellow builders, changemakers and young Nigerians committed to shaping the Nigeria we want to see.

The future is ours to build 🇳🇬✊🏾

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Jobberman Nigeria, invited our Founder and Executive Director, Damilola Adefulire, to speak at the Jobberman Career Clinic in Akwa Ibom under the Young Africa Works programme.

During the Career Clinic, Damilola led a fireside chat on “The Digital You: Navigating AI, Automation & Tech Tools for Career Growth,” engaging young professionals in a timely conversation about the future of work and the skills required to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

The discussion explored how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are reshaping industries and why continuous learning is essential in today’s workplace.

At Youth Be Involved, we believe preparing young people for the future goes beyond civic participation: it also means equipping them with the knowledge, digital skills and confidence to seize opportunities in a rapidly evolving global economy.

We appreciate the Mastercard Foundation and Jobberman Nigeria for creating platforms that empower young Africans with the skills and insights they need to succeed.

Nigeria’s next census may be far more consequential than many people realise.

It’s not just about counting people. It could shape representation, influence and resource allocation.

Here’s why every Nigerian should be paying attention.

Every leader eventually reaches a point where the biggest question isn’t “Can I still run?” but “What legacy do I want to leave behind?”

This post explores whether one of Nigeria’s most experienced leaders could have an even greater impact by preparing the next generation of leadership rather than focusing solely on another campaign.

It’s not about personalities. It’s about strategy, legacy and the future of leadership.

In this carousel, we break down one of the biggest questions facing the newly established NDC: Can a new party build the nationwide political structure needed to compete with long-established parties before 2027?

This isn’t about supporting or opposing any political party. It’s about understanding how Nigeria’s political system works.

At Youth Be Involved (YBI), we believe informed citizens make better decisions.

Civic education isn’t about telling you what to think; it’s about giving you the knowledge to think critically.
