Prevent agricultural fires 🔥🚜
Farmers, by following a few simple steps, you can help mitigate the risk of fire on your farm.
• Check conditions + consult the Fire Severity Index before planning harvesting activities –
• This will help you identify the best time of day to start your harvesting. You can view the Fire Severity Index by visiting https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/328554206f114fc98c707bfc1b880cf7.
• Regular maintenance – Ensure that your equipment is clean and maintained before every harvest activity.
• Help us find you – Provide an accurate location and description of the entrance of your farm to Thames Valley Fire Control Service and wait for firefighters to arrive. You can use what3words
• Know where your water supplies are – Ensure that any available water supplies on your farm are accessible to fire and rescue crews.
• Have contingency arrangements in place – Consider using cultivators to put in fire breaks where safe to do so. If you have water bowsers available to extinguish spot fires ensure that they are near and full of water.
• Store safe – Where possible avoid storing bales near main roads to deter would-be trespassers and arsonists.

Have they gone to a river/lake/pool?

Do they know FLOAT? Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK have a great amount of resources to teach about water safety, take a look here: https://www.rlss.org.uk/listing/category/summer-water-safety

As the weather gets hotter, rivers, lakes and reservoirs can look tempting.
But even on a hot day, the water can be dangerously cold, causing cold water shock in seconds.

Fifteen young people across the country have already lost their lives this summer.

A simple conversation after school or college today could help your child make safer choices and avoid a tragedy in your family.

A massive thank you for the opportunity to visit BMW Oxford and to put our skills to the test using their end of life Mini test vehicles. 👏🚗
These training sessions are invaluable, allowing our crews to utilise our rescue equipment and crash data retrieval systems in realistic scenarios. This helps us to remain up to date with the latest vehicle safety and protection systems, enabling us to provide the safest and most effective response when attending road traffic collisions. 🚨🚒
Thank you once again from Red Watch 🔴 for hosting us and supporting our ongoing development. 🙏👨‍🚒
