The BMA exists to provide free education about Buddhist and Marxist thought (including Marxist-Leninism), and encourages and supports any individual or group who is endeavouring to better their understanding through the development of the mind. The BMA fully supports all spiritual and leftwing movements as they strive for the establishment of Socialism and peace. The BMA is primarily an educationa
l project that relies upon unbiased approaches to teaching and learning. The BMA supports the People's Republic of China, and encourages free-thinking amongst the people, with an emphasis upon the avoidance of rightwing Trotskyite revisionism and decepton. Above and beyond all education, the BMA emphasises the application of loving kindness and compassion throughout society – attributes found within both Buddhism and Marxist thinking.
