Old n Bold at Torquay for Remembrance

Remembrance Parade, Sunday 9th at Torquay, meeting at the Witherspoon's Green Ginger at between 08.30 and 10.15- form up in front of the old pavilion by 10.30.

So far we have two Serving D Sqn Sergeants and Seven Veterans in our contingent and will be laying a wreath, please come along even if you do not wish to March.

Afterwards back to the Green Ginger for the customary coffee or beer. Some of us ( the more the better ) will be going over to Paignton after lunch.

The Paignton parade two minute silence is at 15.00hrs so in position around the Cenotaph at Palace Avenue for 14.30.

last year we were invited into the Conservative Club after the parade and they made us feel most welcome.

I spoke to Cpl Ford at the Paignton Remembrance this afternoon and he has been asked to arrange a meet for the old n bold from Paignton, so as soon as he does, I'll let everyone know. Hopefully, those from the other troops will also come along.

Did anyone go?
For the first time in several years, D Sqn are pleased to announce that we are once again holding the annual Sqn Christmas Carol Service at St Clement’s Church in Powderham (EX6 8JJ) on 7 Dec, starting at 1930. This will be followed by a drinks reception in the Rifles Officer’s Mess at Wyvern Barracks, Exeter.

We would be delighted if any Association members are able to join those currently serving.

Given the logistics involved in organising the event following several years out due to Covid, arrangements have only just been confirmed, hence the regrettably late timing of the invite. We hope those who would like to attend are able to do so.

Dress: Evening wear, suits or jacket and tie for gentlemen. Ladies should wear a smart alternative. The church is likely to be chilly so warm clothing is strongly encouraged, however the Officers Mess will be warmed.

If you plan to attend, please inform the PSAO ([email protected]) providing names and vehicle registration for entry to Wyvern.
