βš½πŸ† A FANTASTIC WEEK OF FOOTBALL! πŸ†βš½
We have had an incredibly busy and exciting week with three thrilling fixtures for our school football teams! 🌟

Every single child played incredibly well and we were bursting with pride watching them demonstrate all of our school values in abundance. They showed true ambition in every play, incredible resilience through every challenge, great independence on the field, and fantastic collaboration as a team! 🀝πŸ’ͺ✨

You are all absolute superstars and brilliant ambassadors for our school. A massive THANK YOU to Mrs Gendall for your amazing support and dedication to our players, we couldn't do it without you! πŸ™Œβ€οΈ

What a fantastic time we had at our annual Break the Rules Day last week! πŸŽ‰

This is always one of the most anticipated days of the school year and it certainly did not disappoint! Throughout the day, the children enjoyed breaking some of the usual school rules by choosing the order of their lessons, eating pudding first, having extra playtime, wearing non-school uniform and much more.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the chance to sponge, cream pie, pour buckets of water and even slime over our brave volunteer teachers! A huge thank you to Mr Wearing and Mr Lowther for being such great sports and helping to make the day so memorable for the children! πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦πŸ₯§

Thank you to the PSA for your help and enthusiasm and to all of our families for supporting this special event. Not only do the children absolutely love taking part, but the money raised will also help provide even more opportunities and experiences for all of our pupils. πŸ’™

The School Council had a fantastic opportunity to meet with SWISCo and our local councillor to share ideas for the future re-development of the play park next to our school.

The children spoke confidently and passionately about creating a space that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone in our community. Their suggestions included:

β€’ Inclusive play equipment for disabled users
β€’ Benches and seating areas for children and families to relax and socialise
β€’ Additional rubbish bins to support the importance of keeping our environment clean, following their recent litter-picking project
β€’ An extension to the current park area to provide even more play equipment and space for the community to enjoy

We are incredibly proud of the thoughtful ideas, teamwork and community spirit shown by our School Council. It was wonderful to see our children using their voices to help shape a better space for everyone. πŸŒ³πŸ›πŸ’š

We had a fantastic turnout at out community coffee morning earlier this week, made even better by a special visiting illustrator, Claire Evans from Small World Animations! It was so lovely to have visitors from Harbour Rise Care Home Paignton join us too ()!

On Break the Rules Day last week, the children brought in their favourite jokes, and this week our guests helped us bring them to life with some amazing illustrations. πŸ˜‚πŸŽ¨

πŸ‘€ Watch this space! We are turning these illustrated jokes into books that will be at the Big Bash! You won't want to miss them. πŸ“šπŸŽ‰

A huge thank you goes to Mrs Chapman for organising such meaningful community events that our children always enjoy so much. We are also incredibly grateful to all of our wonderful local community friends for giving their time, enthusiasm and support to make the morning so special. πŸ’™

Our Reception classes have had a fantastic time exploring the Rare Breeds Farm during their trips this half term! From the tiny squeaks of the guinea pigs to the majestic owls, the children had a brilliant time getting up close with nature. The sun was shining, the alpacas, tortoises, and pigs were out to play, and a fabulous day was had by all!

A huge well done to both classes - you represented Roselands beautifully with your curiosity and impeccable manners. We couldn’t be prouder of how you conducted yourselves!

❀️ A massive thank you to our staff for the fantastic organisation and to our wonderful parent helpers - we couldn't run these enriched experiences without your time and support.

Check out some of the highlights from our adventures below! πŸ“ΈπŸ‘‡

In the latest round of games, the Year 5/6 girls’ team continued their fantastic form with a 2–0 win against Preston, with goals coming from Melody and Ella. ⚽️

In their final match, the girls faced a tough Kings Ash side and narrowly lost 1–0 in a closely contested game. Despite the result, it was a fantastic effort from all members of the team, showing great determination and teamwork throughout.

Well done, girls - keep up the brilliant work!
