Before Rocco 💙 was collected to go home 🏠 (and thank you again Lisa for the yummy 😋 shortbread biscuits 🍪) my friend came over to take myself and the pups 🐕 out for a lovely bank holiday trip to South Dartmoor🌲🦅🌼🌿🐏🐂 near Sheepstor. We started off the walk🚶‍♀️going past the Royal Navy adventure training centre where i think my nephew spent a few days when he was completing his 12 week recruitment course from HMS Raleigh. Then we came across Ditsworthy Warren House 🏡 where the film War Horse 🐎 was filmed. Two things I’ve always wanted to do on this walk, see where the film was shot and take the plunge 💦 for my first wild swim 🏊‍♀️ (well it was a long dip really) to which i did 😁 when we reached the river💧 Plym. I would never have been able to do this without my friend taking charge of the doggies 🐕 and i absolutely loved it, it wasn’t cold at all and i stayed in longer than i expected, it was really rejuvenating and just what i needed. The pups had a little paddle 💦 and
we had coffee ☕️ and a picnic 🥪🍇🍰 afterwards at the waters edge. On the way back we met some lovely Ponies🐴 with their foals and the pups 🐕 were all very well behaved going past them. Then we stopped off for an ice cream🍦at Cadover Bridge before coming home 🏡 . . . Although there were black clouds ☁️ looming we were so lucky with the weather ⛅️ and the rain held off, AND i managed to get my 10k plus steps in today 😊 👍🏻 I’ll sleep 🛌 💤 well tonight.

After Bobby 💙 went home 🏠 then there were three 🐕🥰 and off we went for a nice Sunday outing to Watcombe woods 🌳🦅🍄🌿🐿️ where they had a good sniffari and then we went down to the beach 🌊🦀🐚🎣🦭⛵️🏊‍♀️Toby 💙 and Rocco 💙 had a couple of brief paddles 💦 and Buster 💙 preferred to explore all around the rocks 🪨 and then the others 🐕 had to go over and see what he was up to. Rocco 💙 stayed on the lead on the beach as he didn’t like sharing it with the other doggies, barking if they came near us 🙄. . . It was lovely walk🚶‍♀️and the weather was much better 🌤️ than i expected it to be 😊

I’m pleased 😊 to say we managed to dodge the showers 🌧️ for our lunchtime walkies 🐾 The pups 🐶🐕 explored through the woods 🌳🐿️ first and then charged down the steps to the beautiful Elberry Cove 🌊🦀🐚🎣🛟🦭⛵️🛥️ Bobby 💙 was straight in for a paddle and Rocco 💙 was running 🐾 around with excitement and then he joined Bobby 💙 for a splash 💦 about. He was mesmerised 👀 at the size of the yellow balls 🎾 (buoys) in the water 😆 they spooked him so he got out of there quick 🤣 while Bobby 💙 had found a nice round pebble to dig and roll about. Then we headed up onto the green ☘️🌼 and Rocco 💙 enjoyed a good run 🐾 chasing after Buster 💙 There was quite a strong wind 💨 blowing off the sea and there was a family there flying a kite 🪁 and yep! you guessed it Rocco 💙 had to go and chase after that as well 🙄 barking his head off at it. He came back to us in his own time 🙄 and continued his run. Bobby 💙 and my boys 💙 stopped in their tracks for a moment to enjoy the fresh breeze 💨 blowing through their fur 😁 They all did lots of sniffing on the way back with Buster 💙 getting a better aroma by putting his head down a rabbit 🐇 hole 🕳️ 🤣 a typical terrier thing to do. Rocco 💙 was obviously parched on the path back and had to drink out of a puddle 😆 and i was picking and munching 😋on blackberries and offered them to the pups 🐶🐕 to my surprise Rocco 💙 wasn’t interested nor Bobby 💙 my Buster 💙 was the only one to try them. I always remember blackberry picking with my dear Dillon💙🌈 he loved snacking on them, it was always one for me and one for Dillon 💙 because sharing is caring. 🥰. . . They all thoroughly enjoyed 😊 today’s ⛅️ outing.

Rocco 💙 🐕 and Co 🐶🐕 enjoyed their walkies 🐾 up at Great Hill 🌳🦅🦊🌼🌿🐇🦌🦡 in Torquay. They did lots of sniffing and exploring on the way up and as soon we got in the fields ☘️ Rocco 💙 had fun running 🐾 around. Buster 💙 and Bobby 💙 had to dive bomb the grass 🌱 for a roll 😆 about, I’m pleased to say it wasn’t anything stinky. After me telling Bobby 💙 not to wander off he was let off lead but seemed to suddenly go deaf 🙄 when i said “this way” and took a different route, a short cut 🙄 luckily i knew where he’d gone so after getting him back he went back on the lead. Then before heading back we stopped for a treat and a refreshing drink💧and sat and admired the lovely view.

Our new arrival and returning guest this morning 🌤️ is lovely boy Rocco 💙 the Jug 🐕 (JRT X Pug) He’s here for the bank holiday weekend. He’s not stayed for a long time but he certainly remembered where he was 🥰 and couldn’t wait to get down the garden 🌳🐦‍⬛🌼🌿🐿️ path to meet his new and old friends. He’s enjoying a good sniff about and found a ball 🎾 to play with before we head off out.🐾

Both the lovely Spaniels 🐕‍🦺 Blue 💙 and Buddy 💙 went home 🏠 this morning 🌤️ after their weeks holiday and what a fabulous time they both had together. They had so many great adventures 🐾 and made lots of friends with Blue 💙 really taking a liking to his little mate Toby 💙 the Chihuahua X 🐶. . .Thank you so much to Blue’s 💙 owners, Claire, Ike and Asia for the beautiful bouquet 💐 of flowers and yummy Spanish 🇪🇸 chocolates 🍫 and to Buddy’s 💙 owners, Becky and James for the £10 💵 tip to buy myself some coffees ☕️ on my walks. It’s really so kind and thoughtful of you all and very much appreciated. 😊

After yesterday’s fun 🌿💦 and games and the pups 🐶 🐕‍🦺🐕 all being tired 😴 (and if I’m honest me included 🥱) we just had a much shorter walkies 🐾 around the fields 🌳🦅🌼☘️🐇 at Preston today 🌤️ Buddy 💙 was off racing ahead being his usual nutty 😆 self and finding sticks 🪵 for me throw. They all had good sniff in amongst the bushes 🌿 and Blue 💙 enjoyed rolling about in the dry grass 🌱 that had just been cut. On the way back we had a lovely surprise 😊 Sandy 💖 the Lab 🦮 and little Chihuahua X 🐶 Toby 💙 who stayed last week spotted 👀 us and came charging over to greet us which was so sweet 🥰 I think Blue 💙 was especially pleased 😁 to see his little friend again as he took quite a shine to him when he was here, hardly leaving his side. We walked back with their owner and had a natter as you do 😊 It was hotter 🥵 than i expected today so the pups were all glad of a nice drinkies💧back at the car. 🚐

I took the pups 🐶🐕‍🦺🐕 to a place I’ve not been to in ages, (hence so many pics 📷) the beautiful Shipley Bridge 🌳🦅🪾🌼🌿 and i met my friend there with his little dog Zoe 💖 Buddy 💙 was raring to get off lead and was straight in the water💧so we stopped here and had our lunch 🥪 🍇🍪 while the pups all happily played. Buddy 💙 and Bobby 💙 were fishing for stones 🪨 and rolling them about. They all enjoyed a paddle, well except Buster 💙 who was keeping a watchful eye on things. There was no stopping Buddy 💙 he’s like a dog possessed when it comes to water, in his element diving 💦 off the rocks 🪨 into deep water and swimming right under like an otter 🦦 🤣 i know Spaniels love water but he’s absolutely bonkers 😆 i even think Blue 💙 was amazed at how keen he was. Blue 💙 did go in but not so much as he was more interested in what we had to eat 🙄 and then had a roll 😆 in the grass with Bobby 💙 looking 👀 on probably thinking “what a muppet” 🤣 We met some lovely ponies 🐴 on the way and the pups 🐕‍🦺🐕 were all so good and didn’t take any notice of them when we walked past. We were going to continue up to the Avon Dam but Zoe 💖 being older got tired 😴 and i spotted some cows 🐂 in the distance and didn’t fancy walking🚶‍♀️past them. So they had a little drinkies💧and we headed back, Bobby 💙 preferred to stop off for his drink at the stream 😁 They all had such a great time but i don’t Buddy 💙 wanted to leave.

Look 👀 who’s returned this morning 🌥️ it’s handsome little boy Bobby 💙 the Cavapoo 🐶 He’s here for a 4 night short break and had a lovely welcome 🥰 from everyone 🐕🐕‍🦺 I think he was expecting to see his bestie Biscuit 💖 who was staying last time he was here a couple of weeks ago, never mind 🙄 Bobster 💙 I’m sure you’ll get to have another holiday with her.

After i dropped little Scouty 💙 home 🏠 and as i was in Newton Abbot i took the pups 🐕🐕‍🦺 to the lovely Hackney Marshes 🌿...

After i dropped little Scouty 💙 home 🏠 and as i was in Newton Abbot i took the pups 🐕🐕‍🦺 to the lovely Hackney Marshes 🌿🌼🪲🦟🐟 After charging over the bridge Blue 💙 got the urge to have his first roll about in the grass 🌱 and Buddy 💙 naturally found the first watering hole 😆 Then presented me with a big stick🪾as we walked along the path. They had a little run 🐾 in the field and my boys 💙 had a good sniff around the carved wooden buffaloes 🦬 Both spanners 🐕‍🦺 and my Toby 💙 made their way down to more water💧and Buddy 💙 had a good time splashing 💦 about, Toby had a brief paddle but Blue 💙 was being a bit of wuss 🙄 today, he was scared to go in because a rock 🪨 was sticking up out of the water which he wasn’t too sure about 😆 Then Buddy 💙 was in the water again enjoying his swim 💦 with Blue 💙 watching and then he went down into the sludgy estuary to chase the gulls 🙄 On the way back Buddy 💙 was in his element ducking 🤣 and diving 💦 🤣 in the water again and Blue 💙 still wasn’t too keen which is very unusual for a Spaniel.
