I had a call today, supposedly from the department for work and pensions. He told me he was calling about Attendance Allowance, he asked if I had applied yet.
I said to him, "if you are from the DWP, wouldn't you know if I had applied?"
The phone went dead.
Probably one of these "claim" companies that will complete the form for you at a cost, around £400 is the going rate. Don't forget, if you are entitled to it you will get it, and Age UK Torbay can help you for free. Don't be scammed. Call 01803 555181 for assistance.

We’re going through some exciting and interesting times and are looking for trustees to help guide our charity strategy over the next few years.

Being a trustee can be very rewarding, and you could help to make a significant difference to the lives of over 50s living in Torbay.

We are currently looking for trustees to join a dedicated board of local people who meet 4-6 times a year, with attendance at events such as the AGM and strategy days. Generally, we meet in the evening.

Age UK Torbay is a forward thinking charity providing wellbeing, information and advice, mental health support and practical services for older people.

We are particularly interested in trustees with a finance/accountancy experience, but life experience is just as important!
