Young people to be offered two-dose MenB vaccine this summer
Thousands of young people across England will get protection against meningococcal B disease (MenB) through a one-off vaccination programme launching ahead of the 2026 academic year.

It is available to Year 13 students (born 1 September 2007–31 August 2008) and under-25s starting university or residential further education this autumn.

Eligible individuals will be contacted from mid-July via the NHS App, text, email or letter, with vaccinations from late July.

MenB is rare but can be serious. Vaccination offers effective protection, and young people are encouraged to take up both doses and remain vigilant for symptoms.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR YOUR JOURNEY TO THE CHURCH!

UPCOMING NORTHBOUND ONE-WAY SYSTEM ON TRINITY STREET EFFECTIVE MONDAY 22 JUNE 2026

PLEASE NOTE: from 22nd June 2026 to 17th April 2028
there will be a diversion route around White River Community Church, which will include pedestrian traffic, during the removal and re-cladding of the flats at Piran Place and Trelawney House to ensure safety compliance under the Building Safety Act 2022.

All businesses and the multi storey car park will remain open throughout the duration of the works.

Trinity Street will be subject to a one-way restriction to allow for the construction of the scaffold for the works. Northbound traffic will enter Trinity Street from South Street and travel to Truro Road with a supporting diversion route from the Truro Road end which will run as follows:

From the Truro Road junction of Trinity Street proceed in a south-westerly direction to the traffic light junction at Edgecumbe Road.

Turn left onto Edgecumbe Road following it south to the A390.

Follow the A390 eastward to the double mini roundabout where the first exit on the left will allow you to join South Street and then enable you to turn left onto Trinity Street to drive up to the church.
