🩷 FREE, yes FREE Christmas Dinner!

Once again our CHRISTMAS CHARITY EVENT for 2024 is our FREE Christmas Dinners 🩷

Yep, for the NINTH year running we are again offering FREE Christmas Dinners to those in need as a way of giving back to our community.

Keeping with a tradition we started (my husband Billy & l) back in 2015 or 2016 in which we gave away a full traditional Christmas dinner or two for someone in need, someone homeless, someone possibly struggling with the cost of living, someone living on their own who may not want to cook, or were just too unwell or frail to cook for themselves. Through the years we have also provided for caregivers and key workers on Christmas Day/Boxing Day as they just haven't had the time.

As mentioned we started off in 2015 or 2016 offering one dinner and it just seemed to increase year after year. 2022 saw us cook and deliver twelve Christmas dinners throughout the Pembrokeshire community, including a woman's refuge, and to a Doctor & nurse on the Christmas Day late shift. And last year 2023 saw us cook & deliver over 110 Christmas Dinners all over Pembrokeshire (and with a little bit of last minute help from The Bearded Chefs, we even supplied meals for two homeless hostels)

They say "charity begins at home", hence from my home to your home we will be giving away more fully traditional Christmas dinners with all the trimmings & a pudding. However due to the increased workload for Team Helping Hands and my husband being unwell there will only be a limited amount of dinners available this year.

So, if you know of anyone in Pembrokeshire who could benefit from a FREE dinner on Christmas Day for whatever reason please get in touch. But once their gone they are gone.

We aim to deliver the meals on 23rd December, 24th December (Christmas Eve) & even Christmas Day morning.

(I am fully insured and we both hold our Food Hygiene Certificates) and if any of you know my better half Billy, you will know he's king of the kitchen.

Feel free to share this post so that it gets the attention of people who may know someone who could benefit from a free hot meal for any reason (as we know some of the homeless possibly won't have access to social media etc).

(Unfortunately we are not able to cater for everyone's dietary needs, but we will try our best).

New poster gone up outside our Office and Day Centre. Been along time In the making but community based clients had to come first whilst we work on next stage of our ever expanding business. Thankyou to everyone for your support and here's to a great next chapter. X

From start to finish the acts were great and the raffle prizes were generous.

Just received another great review from a client. Thank you for trusting us and it was funny watching you impersonating Wonder Woman. Haha!!!!

For the first time in years last Thursday I went out to a public place and not only did I manage to push my anxiety to one side I had a really good time. Thankyou Jay Rogers j and all at Jays Home Support Services without you I'd still be sat letting the world sit on my shoulders. But now I feel I'm able to find myself again. Without you none of this would of been possible so From the bottom of my heart Thankyou. You saved me from drowning in life more than you realise xx

Milfordhaven, Johnston, Tiers Cross, Broadhaven, Haverfordwest, pembroke & Pembroke Dock. (We are open to taking on clients in other areas as demand needs).

Sorry folks we've been super busy last few months supporting our clients with our social care packages enabling them to stay active in the local community.
We are still going a head with our day centre on Dimond Street based in Pembroke Dock and we are looking forward to meeting all our new clients very soon.
If anyone is in need of respite care with a family member and no longer able to use the facilities once provided by PCC we would love to meet you and you family to discuss how we many be able yo help.

It's been a few months with work and family health issues. A few days off to switch off and recharge.
