PUBLIC NOTICE
THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION/RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC)
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED SECTION 14(2)

Pembrokeshire County Council hereby gives notice that the following restriction(s) as detailed in the schedule to this notice will apply during the dates and times specified.

SCHEDULE

Restriction Type:- Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic (Road Closure)
Reference:- 2026/753
Applicant:- Barr Engineering Services on behalf of MJ Quinn
Location:- Class III (C3154) road at Cosheston – from a point near the property known as Jaidelle, northeast to its junction with the U6360 road leading towards Broadford Farm

Operational dates / times:- Wednesday 7th October 2026 for 1 day between 08:00hrs-18:00hrs
Reason for restriction:- Telecom poling works
Alternative route:- A477(T) Pembroke Dock to St Clears road, Paskeston Road, C3030 Milton to Cosheston road, The Cross and C3154

The restrictions imposed by this notice will not apply to those vehicles associated with the works, emergency service vehicles or vehicular access to affected properties where practicable and will only apply during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs.

It is intended that works are completed within the time period stated above, however this notice may continue in force for a maximum duration of 5 days if necessary.

Pedestrian access will be maintained for the duration of the closure.

Notification has been received of Telecom Poling Works to be carried out on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 on a Northern section of Blackberry Lane.
The road will be closed with a diversion in place between 0930-1800 daily. Please see below for more detail.

Notification has been received of Telecom Civil Works to be carried out starting next week, Tuesday 15th September 2026 for 4 days, affecting the road from 'The Cross' up to Fosse way and all of The Garth.
Access will be affected and restricted between 0800-1700 daily. Please see below for more detail.

We have seen some misunderstanding regarding work at Pembroke Mill Bridge – Here is an update – Phase 1 Nearly Complete

Good progress is being made on the Mill Bridge Active Travel improvements, with Phase 1 set to finish approximately 22nd May.

The plans include creating a shared use path across the bridge and creating a link between the Mill Pond Walk and the path adjacent to the Cornstore.

The works include:
• Widening the western footway across the bridge – while maintaining the carriageway for two-way traffic after completion.
• Installation of a new traffic calming features and pedestrian crossing positions.

Phase 2 will begin after the South Quay Development is complete and will include:
• New footway across the entrance to Mill Pond Walk.
• Further traffic calming, including a cyclist crossing and retained zebra crossing.

These improvements will create a safer, more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists.
