OPENREACH LIMITED - Temporary Road Closure - Romford Road, Pembury - 12th June 2026 (Tunbridge Wells District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED, it will be necessary to close part of Romford Road, Pembury, from 12th June 2026 with estimated completion by 15th June 2026.

Romford Road, Pembury, will be closed approximately 40 metres from property named Syndal. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 J B2160 Roundabout, A21 Pembury Bypass, Hastings Road, Henwood Green Road, Woodside Road, Romford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED.

It will be necessary to close Kings Toll Road, Pembury from 8th June 2026 for up to 12 days.

The road will be closed at Kings Toll Road.

The alternative route is via B2160 Maidstone Road, Bramble Reed Lane, Romford Road, and vice versa.

This closure is necessary to install road closure on Kings Toll Road, Tunbridge Wells including barriers to protect carriageway void. Closure to remain in place works to be carried out by Kent County Council.

It will be necessary to close Maidstone Road, Pembury from 5th June 2026 for up to 4 days.

The road will be closed outside Hawkwell Haybarn.

The alternative route is via Maidstone Road A228, Pembury Northern Bypass, High Street, Hastings Road, Pembury Bypass A21, Vauxhall Lane, Vauxhall Roundabout, Woodgate Way, Vale Rise A26, Vale Road A26, Cannon Lane A26, Hadlow Road A26, Cornwallis Avenue A26, Hadlow Road East, Tonbridge Road, High Street A26, Maidstone Road A26, Tonbridge Road A26, A228 Seven Mile Lane, Hale Street Bypass A228, Branbridge Road A228, Whetsted Road A228, Maidstone Road A228, Colts Hill A228, and reversed.

This is to enable burst water main repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

UK Power Networks - Temporary Road Closure - Henwood Green Road, Pembury - 8th June 2026 (Tunbridge Wells District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by UK Power Networks, it will be necessary to close part of Henwood Green Road, Pembury, from 8th June 2026 with estimated completion by 9th June 2026.

Henwood Green Road, Pembury, will be closed between property numbers 138 to 132, junction with Beagles Wood Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Lower Green Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow underground cable repair works to be carried out, works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 MPH will be imposed on a section of Maidstone Road, Pembury.

The 30 MPH applies in both directions on Maidstone Road, Pembury outside Hawkwell Haybarn, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.

This takes effect on 3rd June 2026 for up to 6 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed, and it is safe to do so.

The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public and workforce whilst burst water main repairs are to be carried out by South East Water.

This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
