Happy 5th Anniversary to Us. Today marks 5 years of Borrowing from Benthyg Penarth 😁

We're open as usual though only doing a quiet acknowledgement today (with some great weather and lots of birdsong to enjoy as well).

Yesterday's Big Games Mini Showcase at Penarth Pier Pavilion went very well with more than 2 dozen children and their parents/guardian stopping to play with them.

Some intense chess & connect four battles were going on and a new way to play with the Jenga blocks demonstrated (by some of the kids themselves).thank you to all who attended and also Penarth Pier Pavilion for use of the space. All these games are now available to borrow via our catalogue. We've even got some special Spring/Summer borrowing offers on the, and other items as part of our EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENTs promotions. Two of our 'Volunteers are ready & waiting at Penarth Pier Pavilion to speak to visitors to Saturday's Penarth Community Network Community Showcase Fayre about borrow from Benthyg Penarth Library of Things and also the Benthyg Cymru Network.

(They're also ready and waiting to be borrowed for &/ - see our catalogue under Costumes)

You'll also be able to find out about new collaborative projects between Benthyg Penarth, Benthyg Cymru, Gwyrddio Penarth Greening (GPG) Repair Cafe Wales and Repair Cafe Penarth that aims to bring a new Community service to the town.

So come on down between 1000 & 1500 to find out

It's less than a week to go until the Penarth Community Showcase Fayre - 21st Feb 2026, where we'll be there to promote our Library of Things project, catch you up on the news (both locally and Benthyg Cymru Network-wide), and also give you a chance to find out our exciting & hopeful plans to improve and expand our operations as much as possible this year, that we'd like you to support! 😀
