🚨 We need your help 🚨

24/10 @ 1000hrs. Stand Tall Drop in.

Rather than doing the usual sponsored run, challenge or fundraiser, we thought we’d offer something that might actually be useful.

We’re running a Stand Tall Drop-In — a chance to book a 1:1 slot, have a chat, get some practical mental health advice, and talk through what support might help.

No pressure. No big commitment. Just a bit of time, a conversation and hopefully something useful to take away.

Donations are completely voluntary if you are popping down. If you want to donate, think of it as sponsoring the slot — every penny goes back into helping us cover the cost of venues and keep our free sessions running.

If you’re struggling a bit, not sure what help is out there, or just want some advice for yourself or someone else, or may just a chat, have a look and book a slot.

🌧️ RAIN HAS STOPPED PLAY… SO WHY NOT CHECK YOUR FIRST AID KIT? 🩹

Unfortunately, the weather has beaten us today and stopped play for our event duties. But if you’ve suddenly got a bit of time on your hands, why not give your first aid supplies a little TLC?

Go and have a look… 👀

🩹 Are your plasters old, dried out or falling apart?
🧤 Are your gloves out of date?
🧼 Is the kit dirty, messy or looking like it’s been ransacked?
🔦 Are your torches, shears or other equipment actually working?
📦 Are you missing the essentials because someone has “borrowed” them and forgotten to tell you?

Give everything a clean, check those expiry dates, make sure equipment is fit for purpose and replace anything that’s damaged or missing.

And remember — you don’t always need the biggest brand name!

Shop around. Compare prices. A plaster is a plaster… as long as it’s suitable, compliant and fit for purpose. 🩹

Don’t pay through the nose just because there’s a famous name on the packet.

A well-maintained first aid kit is far more useful than an expensive one that’s been forgotten about in a cupboard!

🚑 Check it. Clean it. Restock it. Know what you’ve got.

Want to know what Stand Tall is all about?

We run two weekly sessions in Barry for guys who want to get stronger in body and mind:

Gym sessions – Wednesdays @ 19:30
Unit 15 Functional Fitness
These aren’t just workouts. You’ll learn new movements, train alongside like-minded guys, and build confidence with the kit. No pressure, just progress.

Meet-ups – Mondays (doors 18:30, starts 19:00)
Health Hwb
No group therapy. No pressure to talk. Just relaxed sessions where we cover useful stuff around health and wellbeing—like stress, nutrition, sleep, mental fitness, and more.

There are no wrong answers. Most people have never been shown what to do in an emergency, and that’s exactly why we’re here.

At Rescue Ed, we provide first aid training and event medical cover across South Wales, helping businesses, schools, sports clubs, and communities gain the confidence and skills to act when every second counts.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing practical first aid tips, myth-busting facts, and real-life advice that could one day help save a life.

Great cohort yesterday! 👏

It was fantastic to deliver another private course in partnership with a major education provider, supporting the next generation of Personal Trainers as they take their first steps into the fitness industry.

The group brought great energy, engagement, and a genuine desire to learn—exactly the qualities that help create successful fitness professionals.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed throughout the day. We’re proud to play a part in developing future Personal Trainers and helping raise standards across the industry.

Looking forward to seeing where their careers take them and to continuing this valuable partnership.
