It's good to see people talking about our sector once again, but like so many conversations, they seems to be overcomplicating what good care actually looks like.
It really isn't that complicated.
At The Trusted Companion Midlothian π©΅
We say no 15-minute visits.
We offer flexibility in the care we offer, too often we have met people who have been turned away as there care packages are not substantial enough π€―
We really do value our carers and companions, I hope I never lose sight of how important it is to keep these absolute diamonds invested in care delivery.
We have built the service around people's needs, not financial gain.
We've been putting these principles into practice since the day I started this venture LESS than a year ago π¬
Put simply this is how we believe care should be delivered.
It all relies on holistic, relationship-based support.
It means looking after not just the person receiving care, but their family too. When unpaid carers are supported and well, everyone has more time for the things that keep families together.
Please like and share our page, I hope to at least inspire other care companies to reset, re evaluate their core values, realise what a privilege it is being invited into people's home and lives, and get people trusting care services again π©΅ππ»π₯°
