Wildfire near A628, Flouch, Barnsley 🔥

Five fire crews plus specialist vehicles are currently in attendance at a wildfire near the A628.

Please avoid the area if you can as the road will shortly be closed and traffic is already building in the area.

Congratulations 🎉 to FF Kelleher & FF Georgeson 👨‍🚒👨‍🚒

Last Saturday marked the end of their initial training as they attended their FF Graduation at our Training & Development Centre in Sheffield 🎉

They were presented with certificates by our Deputy Chief Fire Officer and took part in a simulated incident to showcase their new skills to their friends and families.

Special shout-out to FF Kelleher who also brought home the silver axe ⛏️ the award for the top performing recruit on his cohort 💪

Well done both, we look forward to watching your further development serving the communities of Pen*stone and it's surrounding areas.
