• Fabrication & MIG welding of steel components ranging from 1mm – 6mm
• Operation of general machinery (steel worker, pedestal drill, all training provided)
• Operation of hand / power tools including; Drills, Grinders, , and other tools needed based on the job requirements
• Set-up and lay out of components using jigs and templates
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Quality conscious with an eye for detail
• Reliable, punctual, willing to work overtime to meet business needs

Did you know that the Hutton estate was used as an airfield during WW2? A satellite station for Silloth was established here in 1941 in case of bombing on the coast. And although there are very few photographs of that time remain, some wartime buildings and traces of where woodland was cleared to enable planes to take off can still be seen today.

Our guide Christine will be taking a special guided walk on Thursday 22nd July 11am - 1pm around the old airfield at Hutton.

Tickets for the walk are £10 and include entry to the gardens at Hutton. They can be booked via the website https://hutton-in-the-forest.co.uk/online-tickets/

This fascinating walk about this snippet of local history will take you across 3 miles of parkland and wood around the house. Please wear suitable footwear and clothes for the weather!

To the person Who was riding a motorised scooter on the calthwaite to plumpton road this morning.
It was shortly after 11.30 this morning, just after the brackenbrough crossroads.Probably just been over taken by a cyclist.
The law states, these vehicles can not be used on public roads, footpaths or cycle paths.
They can only be used on private property.
Normally I would let his go, and just be annoyed quietly.
However, when you veer from your side of the road straight towards me, as your looking at your phone, then I feel a quiet reality check is needed.
Not only have you let yourself down, but also the real request of getting E-scooters made leagal to go on public roads, and not to mention your parents.
I hope who ever it was takes heed, as next time you may not be sat at home after your day out, but in a hospital somewhere in the country ,with life changing injuries.
