We like our clients to feel like part of a close group of friends and family. As part of our service, our clients are collected and dropped back home personally by our wonderful carers. Whilst here, our clients enjoy breakfast, a 2 course lunch, unlimited teas and coffee and a whole host of activities to join in and engage with. Activities
We encourage our clients to maintain and d

evelop their everyday skills; we have regular cooking and baking sessions, a variety of gardening activities, dominoes games, arts and crafts, mental stimulation games, stretching or gentle exercise’s, puzzles, birthday celebrations, reminiscence groups and much more. We have regular sing-alongs, usually on a Monday, which is great for clients and staff! Also, from time to time we have a get together with staff and clients in our day centre and enjoy fish and chips from one of the local chippies in Penrith. Breakfast & Lunch
Clients are offered breakfast and a hot drink on arrival, a two-course meal for lunch, with hot and cold drinks and snacks available throughout the day. Care is ALWAYS taken to monitor people's likes and dislikes and any nutritional requirements. Menus are planned accordingly with clients being given a choice. Clients are encouraged to help with activities such as setting and clearing tables, and pouring drinks. Technology
We are keen to ensure that clients are able to utilise new technology, so we have a desktop computer with internet access available to clients, and we support clients to use the computer. We also have a Wii GamePad, which provides clients with co-ordination training and brain games. OOMPH
Dawn Henderson our Day Centre Supervisor is trained in ‘Our Organisation Makes People Happy’ (OOMPH) Wellness Training. provides a set of complementary services to enhance the mental, physical and emotional well being of older adults by exercise in a party atmosphere tailored especially to older adults. Day Care at Home

Day Care at Home aims to provide you with a social connection, whether it is a trip to the shops with a carer, a visit to the local garden centre, or just a natter at home; we can be there for you, with a unique one to one service catered especially for you. Our Day Care at Home sessions can be anything from one to 6 hours and is our ‘stepping stone’ between the social club of our Day Center and the personal care services of our domiciliary branch, Assured Care. If your needs have not yet developed to the extent of needing personal care, but you need more focused one on one attention than in a group like our center, then Day Care at Home is the service for you. This is a great opportunity for the primary care giver to enjoy a few hours off, and provides the client with an opportunity to have social interaction with another individual and help getting out and about. Assured Care is the domiciliary branch of Gaudium Ltd. Gaudium Ltd became CQC registered in 2015 and opened Assured Care domiciliary services to provide care in the home. Our service covers Penrith and the surrounding area, providing support services for vulnerable adults suffering from a variety of degenerative illnesses, and their carers. Our promise is to ensure each one of our clients are treated with care, compassion and dignity. We aim to bridge the gap between surviving alone and living in a care home, this way our clients can continue to live in their own homes and continue to enjoy their own lives for as long as possible independently. Between the hours of 7am to 11pm, our friendly support workers provide a range of services in the Penrith and surrounding Eden area, with our flexible packages tailored to each individual. Our registered domiciliary care provides all the support and care required to assist your loved one to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Most people can live independently in their own homes. However, when they are frail or have long term care needs, this can be difficult without the help and support of other people and services. This service which assists with personal care and other practical household tasks is called Domiciliary Care. The service is tailor-made to suit the needs of both the client and primary carer. We are able to provide full personal care, including assistance with continence management, bathing and dressing, and assistance with meals amongst other care tasks. We provide the highest standards of care with skilled, qualified and dedicated staff, and clients are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
