Last week, the Commissioner hosted a public surgery in Millom.

The Commissioner's surgeries are a great opportunity to speak directly with him about any questions, concerns or issues you may have relating to policing or fire services in your area.

The next surgery will be taking place in Keswick on 7th September, from 4pm to 5.20pm. If you'd like to raise an issue or ask a question, please pop in and say hello.

At the start of the week, the Commissioner attended the graduation ceremony for a group of officers who had successfully completed their two-year probationary period.

It's important to take the time to recognise and celebrate milestones like these. Becoming a police officer is no easy task, and reaching this point takes an enormous amount of hard work, dedication, resilience and commitment.

Congratulations to all of the officers on this fantastic achievement. Your determination and professionalism have brought you to this moment, and we look forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop throughout your policing careers. 👮

Another Community Fund visit!

This time, the Commissioner visited Burneside Cricket Club, who were awarded £2,500 through our Community Fund to purchase a new Bola bowling machine.

It was wonderful to meet the young players and see first-hand the positive experience the club provides. From developing new skills and building confidence to getting outdoors and spending time with friends, the club offers a fantastic environment for local children and young people.

We're proud to support initiatives like this that make such a positive difference in our communities. 🏏

Last night, the Commissioner visited Cumbria Taekwondo in Ulverston to see first-hand the impact of a recent Community Fund grant.

The club received £2,500 from our Community Fund, which has been used to purchase new equipment for its members, particularly those looking to compete and develop their skills further.

It was fantastic to watch the training session and see the dedication, discipline and talent on display. We're proud to support clubs like Cumbria Taekwondo, which provide such valuable opportunities for people in the local community.
