The Westmorland and Furness Community Safety Partnership is launching a Community Conversation to support the development of a new Community Safety Partnership Plan for 2027-30.

The online questionnaire asks about how safe people feel in their local community and what type of crime has the most impact on them. Findings from the survey will then be used to plan and shape the next set of priorities that the partnership will focus on over a three-year period.

*Advanced M6 Closure Notice*

Advance notice of full carriageway closures in August to complete the expansion joint works to Lowther Bridge.

Closures will take place on the weekends of 8th & 9th, 15th & 16th, and 22nd/23rd August. As usual closures will be nighttime 10pm to 6am on the Saturday and Sunday nights.

More information will be released nearer the time with a resident’s postcard.
