It’s been such a joy to join some beach cleans this week with Scilly Coastal Clean-up CIC. If you love the Isles of Scilly please follow the page. This CIC has been founded by Nikki Banfield BareFoot Photographer who has been tirelessly cleaning Scilly beaches for years. She is developing some amazing relationships which will enable ALL the waste she collects to be managed and as much as possible to be recycled through Odyssey Innovation Ltd.

We have collected some pretty nasty material this week… the stuff that is HARD to process… NOT necessarily due to its size but because there is no ongoing value left in it… Dealing with this type of beach waste has a cost associated to it in time, fuel, energy etc and that is why CICS like this need your support.

Thank you Perranporth Community and visitors for getting this lot off the beach and into our recycling crates. What an amazing effort from everyone!! 🙏👏🌊

There has been a huge amount of fishing rope and line washing up in the last few weeks. 😢

😀This plastic will no longer be posing a threat to our marine life and will be going off to Exeter City Council for recycling into other products such as kayaks.🛶
