Wychavon Wychavon District Council serves the three towns of Droitwich Spa, Evesham and Pershore as well as about 100 villages.

Wychavon covers 260 square miles and is the largest of six districts in Worcestershire. With a population of 116,900, the district is made up of the three towns of Droitwich Spa, Evesham and Pershore, and nearly 100 villages. Our headquarters are at the Civic Centre in Pershore, where most of our 330 staff are based. We also have Community Contact Centres in Droitwich and Evesham. We're an entrepr

eneurial council that has gained fame for big projects like building Perhore hospital and re-opening the Droitwich Canals, and for running fun events like the British Asparagus Festival, based in Evesham. Our focus at all times is on providing value for money for our residents

Most of us know a man who carries a lot quietly. It might be work stress, money worries, health issues, grief, retirement, relationship changes or simply feeling a bit cut off from other people.

Men are less likely to ask for support early, which is why safe, local spaces like this matter.

Andy from Andy’s Man Club will be hosting a short presentation in Honeybourne to explain how a Men’s Club could work locally and how men from the area can help get one started.

The idea is to create a safe, informal space where local men can meet, talk if they want to, listen if they don’t, and support each other.

Come along on Monday, 22 September 2026 at 7:15 pm at Honeybourne Village Hall to hear more.

🐉✨ From dragons to magical horses, the creativity inspired by Once Upon a Trail has been incredible.

Children taking part in the trail in Droitwich Spa have created stories filled with magical creatures, exciting adventures and unforgettable characters. One young writer introduced us to Dream, a magical horse who found a forever home after a family set out on a special journey to find her.

These fantastic stories and illustrations show exactly what Once Upon a Trail was designed to do: encourage reading, creativity and imagination while exploring Droitwich Spa together. The trail forms part of activities celebrating the National Year of Reading.

👹📚 Who says monsters can't be friends?
One of our favourite stories from Once Upon a Trail tells the tale of Gerald the spikey monster, who wasn't too happy when a boy wandered into his riverside home. But after a chat and an apology, the pair became friends. A lovely reminder that stories can take us anywhere and sometimes surprise us too! The story was created by a child taking part in the trail.

We've loved reading the imaginative stories inspired by Once Upon a Trail and seeing how every child has put their own unique spin on the adventure.
