Are you aged 15.5 to 24 and interested in a career working with people? Our 8 week programme will help you build confidence, develop new skills and learn more about opportunities in the Health and Social sector.

📍 Location: 68–86 Scott Street, Perth, PH2 8JW
📅 Starts: Wednesday 30th September 2026
⏰ Time: 10am to 2pm (every Wednesday for 8 weeks)

Over the 8 weeks, you'll gain:

Did you know that the Scottish Childminding Association is holding online information sessions for anyone interested in becoming a childminder?

You can attend a free, online ‘Discover Childminding’ session to find out more about becoming a childminder and the support available to get started.

What will be covered?
⭐Information about the fantastic package available to get started, including one-to-one support from a dedicated Workforce Officer, free online training and a minimum £750 business start-up grant.
⭐Ask the Scottish Childminding Association’s knowledgeable and friendly team any questions.
⭐Hear how a career in childminding works for others, and could work for you too.

Join the conversation on the future of Perth and Kinross 💬

The Perth and Kinross Economic Summit 2026 will bring together businesses, employers, investors, education and skills partners, and key stakeholders from across the region to discuss how collaboration, investment and workforce development can drive sustainable economic growth.

Featuring speakers including John Swinney, First Minister of Scotland, Susan Campbell of The Scottish National Investment Bank and SSE plc, the summit will provide an opportunity to explore the skills, opportunities and partnerships needed to support businesses, communities and the future workforce across Perth and Kinross.

The event will also feature panel discussions, roundtable conversations and networking opportunities giving attendees the chance to share ideas, build connections and contribute to shaping future priorities for the local economy.
