Separation doesn’t always mean safety.
For many people experiencing domestic abuse, separation can be the most dangerous time, with abuse escalating after leaving.
You don’t have to face this alone. We can support you to create a personalised safety plan and help you think through ways to stay as safe as possible.
You deserve to be safe. You deserve support.

If you or someone you know needs help, please get in touch.

Thursday Thank the Funders!
Today we are sending a huge and heartfelt thank you to The Gannochy Trust for their generous support of our domestic abuse support services. Their funding helps us deliver vital support from our office base in Perth and out in communities across Perthshire, reaching women, children and families when they need it most. The Gannochy Trust has also helped us access training and venues that strengthen our team and support the activities we provide. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness, commitment and belief in the work we do. Quite simply, without funders like The Gannochy Trust, we could not deliver this support.
Thank you for standing alongside us and helping make this work possible.

Thanks to previous donations, we have been able to support women and children as they start their next chapter in safer homes.
Recently, we helped two large families settle into new homes, which has made a real difference but it also means our stocks for refuge accommodation and move-on homes are now running low.

If you are able to help, our Amazon Wish List includes practical items that can bring comfort, dignity and a sense of home.

As schools reopen and children settle back into the new school year, our specialist domestic abuse children’s workers are also returning to school settings to resume their support.

As a domestic abuse service, we recognise the impact that domestic abuse can have on children and young people. Being able to offer support within a familiar and safe school environment can make a real difference, helping children feel listened to, supported and understood.

Our Family Support Service helps children, young people, and their mums recover from domestic abuse, providing a variety of support options tailored to their needs.

This service would not be possible without support from a number of funders inclusive of: , BBC Children in Need, Garfield Weston Foundation and Perth and Kinross Council

Let’s get behind Vicky! 🌿💪💜

Vicky is taking on the Great Wilderness Challenge this weekend to raise vital funds for our charity. It’s a huge challenge, and we’re so grateful to Vicky for taking it on to help raise funds and awareness for the work we do.

Please join us in wishing Vicky the very best of luck!
Vicky, we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way - you’ve got this!

If you can, please show Vicky some love and support her fundraising journey. Every bit of encouragement and every donation helps us continue our work.

This week, some of our team were incredibly grateful to take part in a wonderful 1-hour wellbeing session kindly offered by Minds & Manes.

Working in the domestic abuse sector is an immense privilege, but it can also take a significant emotional toll on those working alongside women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse every day. It meant so much that someone recognised that and offered our team a space to pause and recharge. Several team members said it helped quiet their minds and was exactly what they needed that day.

What made this gesture even more special was that Minds and Manes reached out after seeing one of our social media posts because they wanted to acknowledge the work our team does.

A huge thank you to Minds and Manes for your generosity, compassion and support. Your kindness has made a real difference to our team this week. 💜

Recovery isn’t about forgetting what’s happened.
It’s about slowly rebuilding safety, confidence and control.
🩵Sleeping better.
🩵Feeling calmer.
🩵Enjoying time with your children.
🩵Making choices for yourself again.
Healing looks different for everyone and that’s okay.

Take things one day at a time. You are already doing better than you once thought you could.
