⭐️ FREE PARKING CAN SAVE THE HIGH STREET ⭐️

A parliamentary petition has been created by retail event organiser Spring & Autumn Fair to build momentum for a proposal for free parking 🅿️

The push follows a survey of over 2,000 UK consumers, which revealed that nearly two-thirds – 63 per cent – said free parking would encourage them to visit their local high street more regularly. Who knew? 🤔

Well in Peterborough - I am not just talking about it - I have done it. Free after 3 Monday to Friday 💪

And I shall do the same in Huntingdonshire towns - just a need a bit more from the Hunts District Council.

The Council need to adopt these roads and enforce parking restrictions as a matter of urgency 💪

Residents in Clay Farm and Glebe Farm say parking problems have worsened since Cambridge South station opened - and are calling for proper enforcement on roads that still haven’t been adopted.

Well done to East West Rail Site campaigners who have over 1,000 signatures on their petition calling for the business case into recent East/West Rail proposals to be published.

Local people who have to put up with disruption of construction need to at least be able to view the business case. 👀

A petition calling for East West Rail to publish the business case for the Bedford to Cambridge section has now passed 1,000 signatures.
Supporters say communities along the route - and the taxpayers funding it - deserve to “see the evidence” behind the project.
