🌧️ North Ward Roving Surgery 🚶‍♂️

Out and about earlier today for our roving surgery in the pouring rain 🌧️ and cold weather 🥶 but that didn’t stop us! Your North Ward councillors including myself, Cllr Zameer Ali, and my fellow ward colleagues Cllr Asim Mahmood were on the ground speaking directly with residents 🗣️ listening carefully to concerns 👂 and taking action where it matters most ✅

A huge thank you 🙌 to everyone who braved the weather to stop and chat. We had a wide range of important conversations about the issues affecting our community with parking 🚗 being one of the biggest concerns raised. This is something we are actively pushing forward alongside a number of casework matters we’ve already picked up and are following up as a priority 📋⚡

During our walkabout we also tackled environmental issues 🌍 including fly tipping 🗑️ and even an unusual find of a dead chicken 🐔 all of which have now been reported to the relevant teams for urgent action 🚨

Rain or shine 🌧️☀️ we are committed to being visible 👀 accessible 🤝 and delivering for our community every single day 💯

We’re giving residents an early heads-up that our next North Ward Surgery will be held on Friday 14th November 2025 from 10am to 11:30am at Blue Bell Community Centre 🏛️

This is a great chance to speak directly with your local councillors 👥 about any concerns, ideas or issues affecting you and your neighbourhood. Whether it’s housing 🏠, parking 🚗, safety 👮 or community improvements 🌳 we’re here to listen and help

Community Surgery Update

My colleagues and I held our monthly roving surgery today - it was lovely to meet residents and pick up some important local casework. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and speak with us.

Our next surgery will take place at Gladstone Park Community Centre on Friday, 7th November.
We’d really encourage you to come along - whether you have an issue to discuss, need some advice, or simply want to say hello. It’s always great to connect with our community in person.
