We have had a busy couple of weeks settling back into our Burnhaven School Family and were very excited to welcome our new P1s. We have done a variety of different learning activities and here is just a snapshot of some of these.

Tomorrow we welcome our wonderful Burnhaven pupils back to school, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them! 🌟

Our little school may be small, but our Burnhaven family is full of heart, kindness, laughter and big dreams. 💫 We’re looking forward to another year of learning, growing, supporting one another and making lots of special memories together.

💙🌟And that’s a wrap on another fantastic school year! 🌟💙

As we close the doors for the summer, we want to say a huge thank you to our incredible pupils, dedicated staff, supportive parents and carers, and our wider school community. Together, you’ve made this year one to remember, filled with learning, laughter, achievements, and so many special memories.

💙To our wonderful Primary 7 pupils, it’s time to spread your wings. We are so proud of everything you have achieved during your time at Burnhaven. Thank you for the smiles, the memories, the kindness and the leadership you’ve shown. As you begin your next adventure at the Academy, remember to believe in yourselves, embrace every opportunity, and never stop being the amazing young people you are. We wish you every success and happiness for the future. Good luck – we’ll miss you, and our doors will always be open for a visit!

To celebrate our P7’s, we had a great afternoon at the beach yesterday. Lots of fun had by all!

💙 P7 Leavers Assembly 💙

Wow what a day!! Today’s Leavers’ Assembly was a truly special and emotional occasion. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate our Primary 7 pupils, reflect on all that has been achieved this year, and recognise the incredible sense of community that makes our school such a special place.

As I said this morning, our school is amazing because of the people in it. Thank you to our incredible staff for everything you do, to our parents and carers for your continued support throughout the year, and to our amazing pupils for making our school such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

To our Primary 7 leavers, thank you for the memories, the laughter and the contribution you have made to our school. We are so proud of you all and wish you every success as you begin your next chapter.

On Friday afternoon we spent some time focusing on our social and emotional skills through playing some games based around feelings. We had lots of fun acting out the different emotions.

Today two of our pupils brought a special guest to show us- their beautiful puppy. We learnt about how to look after a puppy and even got some cuddles.

Yesterday we had lots of fun on our moving up morning. We met our new Primary 1 pupils and played some drama games with them to get to know them. Our Primary 6 pupils were perfect prefects choosing books to read to them in the beautiful sunshine and looking after them at break time and lunch time. We also got to pick some of our ripe strawberries we have been growing which were very tasty.
