If someone was visiting Peterhead for the weekend …

Where would you take them first? A walk along the harbour? Coastal paths? The Prison Museum? Golf, the Brewery, the Lido – or somewhere only locals know about?

No one knows Peterhead better than the people who live here.

There are also plenty of ideas on the ‘Things To Do’ page of our website.

📍 Where would you suggest visiting first?

What does Together We Are Peterhead stand for?

Everything we do is guided by a few simple values:

📍 Local. We live and work here. This town matters to us.

👀 Visible. We’ll keep you updated through our website, social media and local news.

👂 Listening. It’s your voice that helps decide how Pride in Place funding is spent.

🤝 Approachable. We’re here to chat, answer questions and meet you at open sessions and events.

💙 Making a difference. Backing the changes that matter most to local people and helping make them happen.

This is about Peterhead – and it all starts with you.

Record Breaking Year for Port!

You are likely to have seen the news that Peterhead Port reported record fish landings during 2025. An increase of £84m to £341m ensures we still hold the position as the UK’s top fishing port.

This is a very positive reminder of the importance of fishing in our Blue Toon and the hard work and resilience it takes to increase revenue consistently year on year.

Thank you to the amazing team at Peterhead Port Authority.

At our launch event we held a drawing competition for kids, asking them what they would like to see in Peterhead in 10 years, with a prize of a Loves Local gift card for the top 3.

Congratulations to our winner, Leah, and runner-ups, Millie and Emie, for their lovely submissions! :)

Below is a great video of the Netball Festival that Peterhead Netball Club's ran last year. You'll hear from Lorraine, one of our associate board members, about how the event helped raise netball as a sport and how it's something fun and healthy for everyone.

As part of We Are Peterhead's initial 4-year investment plan, we want to support projects and activities which improve spaces for sport and physical activity, and increase youth participation and multi-generational connections - the same type of positive impacts that Peterhead Netball have demonstrated can be achieved locally.

The Peterhead Netball Festival marked the culmination of a project supported by a successful Sport for Change application via Netball Scotland, aimed at wide...

📣 Peterhead Scottish Week 📣

The dates have been announced! The 64th Peterhead Scottish Week is taking place between 18th to 26th of July this year. An exciting programme of events is planned for locals and visitors.

From community events and parades to our ever-popular truck show, competitions and picnics, this year’s lineup will see nine days of festivities across the local area..

Peterhead Scottish Week has the same objective today as it did for its first one in 1962 – to bring together the local people and businesses and to encourage tourists to our Blue Toon in a spectacular way.

💬 What was your favourite part of last year’s events? What are you hoping to see this year?

Keep up to date by checking the Scottish Week page or website.
