The Edward Thomas Fellowship are excited to announce details of the 2026 Edward Thomas Literary Festival - hosted at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery on 27 & 28 February and also the 2026 Annual Birthday Walks and Fellowship AGM on Sunday 1 March.
A highlight of the AGM will be readings of the winning poems from the Fellowship's 2026 Poetry Competition - also available to be read on the website.
Further details of both are available on the Edward Thomas Fellowship website - https://edward-thomas-fellowship.org.uk/ (click on the menu for each event) - and tickets for the Festival events may be ordered through the Museum website - https://www.petersfieldmuseum.co.uk/.../edward-thomas....
If you are a Fellowship member reading this please keep a look out for an eBulletin on Monday with news of these two events, 2026 Essay competition winners announcement (yes, I know who they are!) and more details about the Fellowship's participation in the Watching Narrowly: Natural History Book Day on Saturday 21 March at Gilbert White House - https://gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk/.../watching-narrowly.../.
March is a busy month - and hopefully not too wet!

The Edward Thomas Fellowship exists to promote knowledge of Edward Thomas (1878 - 1917) of his poems and prose and appreciation of his life.

As is customary at this time of year, the Edward Thomas Centre is dressed for remembrance. The ceramic poppy is one of the 888,246 created for and displayed at the Tower of London in 2014. This particular one also stood at Thomas's grave in Agny on the centenary of his death in 2017.
We will remember them.

The Centre is open today, 1 November, until 12.45 pm and regularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10.00 and 15.30, other times by arrangement. Please drop in and share some reflection and wonderful poetry with us.
