Coultershaw Heritage Site & Beam Pump In the heart of the South Downs, near Petworth, is the Coultershaw Beam Pump & Heritage Site, with plenty for all to see and do.

The Coultershaw Heritage Site includes an 18th Century Beam Pump driven by a waterwheel, a 21st Century water turbine, historic buildings and trails set around a beautiful mill pond for visitors to enjoy. Coultershaw will have an 'Everyday Lives' exhibition when we open on the 12th & 13th September as part of the national Heritage Open Days. Come and learn about the lives of some of those who lived at Coultershaw and in Petworth & Beyond.

We will be open on Sunday 23rd August when there will be a fabulous display of nearly 20 Stationary Engines.

We are then open every Sunday until our last special events of the year - the Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September.

There will be craft activities for children and lots of fun activities

Our Pop-Up Coffee Shop will be open.

HELP - STATIONARY ENGINES AND TRACTORS NEEDED !

Unfortunately the group of stationary engines that were going to come on Sunday 23rd August are no longer able to join us.

We urgently need to find owners of stationary engines and tractors who can bring their amazing machines on SUNDAY 23rd August to show at our wonderful riverside setting.
