That’s a wrap, the last event of the school year, the amazing Crockerne Colour Run.
This is by far, the most fun event for the kids, the staff and us volunteers. To hear so much laughter from everyone is such a tonic and to see the children giggle their way round with their friends is just golden. Kids doing exactly what kids should be doing, having fun.
What a way to end the year. Xx

Well, today was a little bit special for the brilliant children of Crockerne!

We were incredibly lucky to welcome a true TV legend to our village as none other than Steel from Gladiators (Zack George) brought his Zactiv workshop to our school.

Steel delivered an inspiring assembly packed with positive messages about making healthy choices, staying hydrated, exercising, getting enough sleep and, most importantly, believing in yourself. He had the children completely engaged, encouraging them to think about their own 'Glimmers' – their dreams, aspirations and the things that make them happy.

It was a wonderfully wholesome morning that left our school buzzing with excitement. The smiles on the children's faces said it all, and we're sure many of them will remember today for a long time to come. It was a fantastic reminder that with hard work, resilience and self-belief, anything is possible.

A huge thank you to Steel for bringing so much energy, inspiration and excitement to our school. A true champion, both on and off the arena!

Come straight from school and make an evening of it with:

“Come with me, and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination” 🎩

What a Cronka-licious day! 🍫

Huge thanks to the incredible team of staff who really got on board with our ‘Cronka Bar’ event to help us create the finale of all finales to the ‘Wonderful week of reading’ surrounding world book day.

372 bars wrapped with our personally designed Cronka bar wrappers, 50 hidden golden tickets and the smiles that could melt a heart in an instant.

Thankyou so much Crockerne C of E Primary School for such a sterling effort. It really added to the excitement of the day. An even bigger thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers who actually make this happen and to our fabulous community of parents for supporting this new event.

🍫✨ The Great Cronka Bar Event – World Book Day ✨🍫
To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5th March, Crockerne Primary School PTA is delighted to be running a Cronka Bar event, inspired by the much-loved Wonka story.
The PTA will be dressing up as characters from the famous film, adding to the fun and excitement of the day.
🍫 Cronka Bars will be £3 each
✨ A number of bars will contain a Golden Ticket
🎁 Children who find a Golden Ticket will win special prizes
📝 Pre-orders are available to help us ensure we have enough bars for everyone.

🏫 A limited number of bars will also be available to purchase in the playground on the day.
All proceeds raised will go towards supporting the school.

Thank you to everyone who supported the recent Bag2School collection. When used correctly, it is a valuable fundraiser for our school.

However, we are very disappointed by the large number of unsuitable items that were donated, including duvets, pillows and heavily stained clothing, despite clear guidance on what could and could not be accepted. These items were rejected by Bag2School, and ultimately has massively affected the amount of money we have raised. On over 1 tonne of clothes we raised we raised £304.20.

This situation has led us to seriously consider whether we can run this fundraiser again in the future, which would be a real loss to the funds we raise for the school.

We ask that, if we do run similar collections again, all donations are checked carefully against the list provided.

Thank you to those who followed the guidance and supported the fundraiser correctly.
