🎉 Celebrating 30 years of service! 🎉

This month marks an incredible 30 years since our Groundsman, Kevin, joined the Parish Council in August 1996.

For three decades, he has worked tirelessly to keep our village’s open spaces clean, tidy and well maintained—and his pride in Pilsley is clear for everyone to see.

Reflecting on his anniversary, he said:

“I like working outdoors, so it is a good role for me. I take pride in the village and enjoy seeing an area clean and tidy after I have worked on it. It’s a lovely village and it’s nice to work in such a friendly place.”

We would like to thank Kevin for his outstanding commitment, hard work and dedicated service to Pilsley over the past 30 years. It is a fantastic achievement and one that deserves to be celebrated.

Today is our final picnic in the park! We will be at Samsons field (bokkers, behind the shop) from 12pm-2pm

Hoping the wet weather stays away, we will have our little games and ice cream box ready for you all.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

On Saturday 14th November we will be having our Pilsley History Event. We will be taking you back to the beginning and through the years right up until today.
However, there is only so much that we can get from Google. The answers to the history questions lie within the community!

Have you been a resident all your life? We're your family bought up here? Do you remember or have pictures of how the Village used to look?

We want to hear about it all!

We will be holding 2 drop in sessions where you can come and share your information with us.

Thursday 3rd September at the sports pavilion 11am-3pm
Tuesday 22nd September at the village hall 5pm-8pm

If you cannot attend any of these sessions then you can also send your stories to [email protected]

The football nets are up, the games are out the ice creams are freezing ready for you all. We are here until 2pm :)

☀️ THIS WEDNESDAYS PICNIC, 12TH AUGUST IS CANCELLED!! ☀️

As the weather is set to be in the 30's tomorrow we have made the decision to cancel our picnic in the park.

As there is limited shaded areas on the park we have to consider everyone's safety and potential heat stroke situations.

We hope you all enjoy the hot weather and stay safe and hydrated and we look forward to seing you all at the next one on Wednesday 19th August at Park House playing field (weather permitting)
