🚨 OPEN DAY ALERT 🚨

We can confirm Plymstock will once again be hosting a station open day this year on September 12th, so save the date and look for further information to follow soon.

In the meantime, why not get warmed up for our event with a trip over to see our friends at Greenbank Fire Station for their open day this coming Sunday!

A drought has been declared across Devon and Somerset, and surrounding areas 🚨

Hot, dry conditions mean a higher risk of wildfires and increased pressure on water supplies.

We’re reducing non-essential water use, reviewing firefighting water supplies, and ensuring our wildfire resources – including water bowsers, 4x4s, ATVs and drones – are ready to respond.

Help to protect each other, and our countryside and water supplies, by:

🔥 Avoiding campfires and disposable BBQs
🍖 Staying with BBQs and fire pits
🚬 Never dropping lit ci******es on dry ground
💧 Using water wisely

We had a great time at Wembury Primary School PTA - FROWS school fair yesterday.

We always appreciate any opportunity to speak to people in our community and spent the afternoon passing on information about home safety, water safety and outdoor & BBQ safety.

Visit our website for more safety tips, especially with another wave of hot weather on the way ☀️

Water Rescue training last night saw us take a short trip across the City to make the most of some of the incredible public open water facilities we have in Plymouth.

We used the seawater pool at Firestone bay to practice wading techniques and casualty recovery techniques.

As the weather (slowly) warms up it’s a great time for us to share some tips of how to stay safe in and around the water:
