📣 CALLING ALL CREATIVES!📣

Following the success of our poetry and short story competitions, it’s time to get inspired once again…
This time, we want to see PICTURES – get those brushes, pencils and cameras at the ready and show us your best art skills!

Your theme this time is “Wild Weather”- we’re looking for rain, flooding, storms, and even extreme heat.

As you may know, flooding is actually more likely during hot weather – if there’s a rainstorm, the ground is so dry that it can’t soak up any water, which means rain pools on the surface and floods a lot faster.
It’ll be a huge bonus if you can show this to us with your artwork!

The important stuff:
Deadline for entries: Friday 31st July 2026
Prize: Voucher for art supplies for every winner
Age Categories: 0-7, 8-11, 12-17, 18+
We politely ask that no generative AI is used in entries (ChatGPT etc).

We’ll pick up to two winners from each age category to receive a prize and have their work shared by us.

Email your entry, along with your name and age, to [email protected] – we can’t wait to see what you make!

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of our April Showers Short Story Competition!

Having received so many amazing entries, picking winners was a tough job – but these writers really knocked our socks off with their imaginative takes on the theme.

Our winners are…
0-7:
Emma Lloyd
Freddie Line

8-11:
Miheli Diyathna Ekneligoda
Darina

12-17:
Gabriella Sins

18+:
Elizabeth Lloyd
Penny Peters

A huge congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you again for entering the competition.

By using art and writing to talk about big topics, like storms, flooding, and climate change, we can raise awareness and start important conversations. If you’d like to get involved, keep your eyes peeled for our next creative competition coming soon!
