** Update Friday 21st November 2025 - 3pm **

Both paths leading to the Mount Batten Tower are now fully open again.

****

As part of the wider Mount Batten peninsula works for the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park project, made possible thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the access paths around the Mount Batten Tower are currently having some improvements made by contractor Classic Builders.

Due to the nature of the works, it does mean that both access points (the sloped path from the car park and the steps by the breakwater) are currently unavailable and a diversion (as part of The South West Coast Pathh) is temporarily in place around the Tower via Lawrence Road.

Classic Builders anticipate this diversion being in place for no more than a week (from 20th - 26th November 2025) and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
