We were delighted to welcome Rachel from Family Hubs to Playdays, where she spoke with our children about the importance of road safety.

The children listened so well, were wonderfully behaved throughout the session, and showed great interest in learning how to stay safe near roads.

It will be lovely to continue these conversations and hear what the children remember and learned from today's visit.

A big thank you to Rachel for taking the time to visit us and share such an important message with our preschoolers! 🚦🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

👶 Deputy Room Leader – Level 3
• Recent experience working with children under 2 is essential for this role
• Minimum 32.5 hours per week
• Monday – Friday

👶 Early Years Practitioner – Level 3
• Recent experience working with children under 2 would be an advantage but not essential
• Minimum 20 hours per week (possibility of more hours available)
• Monday – Friday

Today, some of our children had the wonderful opportunity to visit Age UK and spend time with members of the older generation in our community. 💛

Moments like these are so important. When children connect with elderly people, they gain empathy, understanding, while bringing joy and companionship in return. These interactions reminds us all of the value of kindness, respect, and shared experiences.

A small visit can make a big difference. 🌼

Today I received a message from a parent that truly meant the world. A child shared that they now want to work in childcare when they grow up because of the amazing staff who support them.
Moments like this remind us why this work matters so much. Every day, our team shows patience, kindness, dedication, and care—often going above and beyond without expecting recognition. The impact they have goes far beyond the present; they are shaping confidence, inspiring futures, and helping children believe in themselves.
To know that their hard work has inspired a child to follow in their footsteps is something incredibly special. It’s a powerful reminder that what they do every single day truly makes a difference.

Our Level 2 apprentice Grace carried out a lovely activity today, creating special “love potions” with Valentine’s Day coming up, inspired by The Colour Monster and the emotion of love 🩷🌺

When asked what the children learned during this activity, Grace explained that it supported the children in developing their fine motor skills, helped them to understand world events happening around them, and gave them valuable opportunities to talk to each other about their emotions.
It was wonderful to see such meaningful conversations and careful potion-making taking place!

We are so lucky to have just the best families and children with us here at Playdays 🤍

It has been the best feeling for us when we hear that we have been recommended by others, meaning we are excited to have more wonderful new families and children now joining us 🤍

With that in mind, we are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner (level 3) for a minimum of 16 hours (Tuesday - Friday), flexibility of those 16 hours are essential for this role 🤍🤍🤍
