Today, Labour, Reform and the Lib Dems refused to vote to scrap Inheritance Tax on family homes.

You worked for your home. You built it. Your children should inherit it, not the taxman.

We'll scrap Inheritance Tax on family homes and reverse Labour's Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax.

⚓️News just in!

The government has listened to our campaign to keep specialist maritime apprenticeships, vital to coastal communities like Plymouth and South West Devon.

A DWP spokesperson said:

“We recognise the contribution maritime apprenticeships make in helping employers develop the skilled workforce they need, while also creating pathways for the next generation to succeed in rewarding careers at sea.

“Having considered feedback from employers, trade unions, training providers, and representative organisations, we can confirm that a decision has been made to retain these five maritime apprenticeships.”

So pleased and brilliant news for local young people and local training providers including SeaRegs Training and maritime organisations like Cattewater Harbour Plymouth and the businesses at Turnchapel Wharf.

Really pleased to see the new height barrier installed at Frogmore Field. Whilst we can’t, nor want, to turn the field into Fort Knox we can certainly make it more difficult for travellers to try to break in. Hopefully this provides a viable deterrent.
