Temporary Road Closure for Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy from Monday 22nd June 2026.
Please find below information from East Riding of Yorkshire Council detailing a temporary road closure for Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy:
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice (Saturday 20th June 2026) to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy north along Martin Lane Heading east along Swineridge Lane on to Wodgate continue on to Millington Pastures along Pasture Lane and on to Cobdale along Cobdale Lane the On to Roman Road leading on to Butt Lane onto West Beck Hill along Inrea Hill and Baggaby Hill along the B1246 Kinwick Percy Hill on to Millington Lane commencing 22nd June 2026 @ 08:00 hours until 24th June 2026 @ 18:00 hours due to Road width too narrow unable to maintain minimum widths for part of Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 3 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
North along Martin Lane Heading east along Swineridge Lane on to Woodgate continue on to Millington Pastures along Pasture Lane and on to Cobdale along Cobdale Lane then on to Roman Road leading on to Butt Lane onto West Beck Hill along Inrea Hill and Baggaby Hill along the B1246 Kinwick Percy Hill on to Millington Lane, Nunburnholme CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
