5:00pm Thursday 13 August. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have declared a major incident due to a large fire in Salford Priors. There is a large emergency presence in the area and we continue to advise residents nearby to close all doors and windows. Please stay away from the area. Our control room is receiving a large number of calls, so please contact us only in a genuine emergency.
It's imperative that residents take all steps to reduce any fire risk. Please read advice on our social media channels about fire and water safety. You can make all the difference.

Warwickshire is once again experiencing another heatwave with heat health warnings in place. During hot weather, water-related incidents increase and it's especially important to remind children and young people of the dangers of entering water, there are often hidden risks such as cold-water shock or currents.
Would your child know what to do if they found themselves in a dangerous situation? 🆘 Show them this video and teach them the ‘Float to Live' technique. It could save their life one day!

Yesterday we said farewell to one of our own.

After just under 16 years of dedicated service, Crew Manager Tim Arnold has officially left Polesworth Fire Station.

Throughout his time with the station, Tim has shown commitment, professionalism and leadership, making a real difference to both the local community and the crews he has worked alongside. His experience, support and sense of humour will certainly be missed around the station.

On behalf of everyone at Polesworth Fire Station, we’d like to thank Tim for his years of service and wish him and his family every success and happiness for the future. Whatever comes next, we know you’ll give it your all.

Thank you for everything, Tim. Once part of the fire service family, always part of the fire service family. 🚒

Take all litter home (especially glass)
We discourage the use of disposable BBQ’s but if you are using one keep them off dry grass and vegetation and dispose of ashes safely only when completely cold.

🚒 Congratulations to Our New Breathing Apparatus Firefighters! 👏

We’re delighted to congratulate three of our firefighters who have successfully passed their Initial Breathing Apparatus (BA) Training Course.

The course is both physically and mentally demanding, requiring firefighters to develop the skills and confidence needed to work safely in smoke-filled and hazardous environments while wearing breathing apparatus. From search and rescue techniques to casualty handling and emergency procedures, they have all shown great commitment and determination throughout their training.

A huge well done to all three on this fantastic achievement. We look forward to seeing you put your new skills into practice as part of the team, helping to keep our community safe.
