What a fantastic day we’ve had in Scarborough! 🚌🌊

The weather was kind to us for most of the day, and everyone certainly made the most of their time by the seaside. There were sandcastles, fish and chips, arcades, rides and plenty of ice cream! 🍦🎰

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. A special thank you also goes to all our volunteers, who helped everything run smoothly throughout the day.

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful time and made some lovely memories. Scarborough, you’ve been wonderful! 🏖

🌦️ Scarborough Coach Trip - Weather Reminder 🌦️

The latest forecast for Scarborough tomorrow is for a mild but unsettled day, with rain likely from late morning onwards.

Please bring a waterproof coat and wear comfortable, suitable footwear. An umbrella may also be useful, although it may be breezy. Please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the conditions too.

All coach arrangements remain as previously confirmed. Please arrive at Upton Village Hall by 8:00am.

If you have any local concerns or would simply like a chat with the team, please feel free to drop in.

The ground is extremely dry at the moment and even a small fire can spread very quickly. Please do not light fires on Parish Council land.

Thank you for helping to keep our community and green spaces safe.

As the hot weather continues and we head into the weekend, please do your part to help prevent grass and wildfires.

The ground is extremely dry, which means the risk of wildfire is high.

A few simple actions can help prevent the devastation caused by grass fires and wildfires, and protect the beautiful green spaces across West Yorkshire.

🗑️ Do not litter. Please take your rubbish home or use nearby bins.
🚫 Never leave glass bottles on the ground. They can injure people and animals and may magnify the sun's rays, potentially starting a fire.
🚭 Do not throw lit cigarette ends onto the ground.
🔥 Never be tempted to light a fire.

Together, we can help keep our communities, countryside, and wildlife safe. Thank you for doing your part.
