Your previous and current work experience can be invaluable in a role of a foster carer.

Charlotte, Gwent foster carer, shared how it helped her in her fostering journey:

💬 "My previous experience taught me the importance of patience, understanding and looking beyond a child’s behaviour to understand what they are communicating. Fostering has shown me that these skills, alongside empathy, consistency and a willingness to adapt, can make a real difference in helping children feel safe, understood and valued."
