Over the course of last week, we saw the refurbishment of the floor at Carnegie Parish Hall take place, and what a transformation it has been! πŸ‘

The works have been carried out to the highest standard, and we are absolutely delighted with the finished product. The newly refurbished floor has given the hall a fresh, clean and welcoming look.

The Chair of the Council visited the hall to inspect the completed works and was genuinely shocked at just how fantastic it looks! 😍

We hope our community will enjoy the newly refurbished Carnegie Parish Hall floor for many years to come.

A Busy Week for Our Chair! 🌟

It’s been a busy week for the Chair of Llantwit Fardre Community Council, Cllr Gaynor Warren!

Cllr Warren has been busy supporting the local Cancer Research group that she helps run, planning for next week’s community litter picking hub and keeping a watchful eye on the work taking place across our community. πŸ‘

She also had the pleasure of presenting the certificate to Nick Palmer, winner of this year’s Allotment Competition πŸŒ±πŸ†

It’s also been great to see some of the improvements taking place, including a fantastic tidy-up of the front garden at Carnegie Parish Hall, as well as Cllr Warren taking a look at some of the new benches and bins recently installed at our parks. 🌳πŸͺ‘

πŸ“’ The details for next week’s litter picking hub are attached to this post.

It would be fantastic to see plenty of you there! Every pair of hands makes a difference. πŸ’ͺ

Working together, we can make a real difference in our community.

🌿🌸 Garden & Allotment Competition 2026 🌸🌿

We would like to take the time to congratulate and thank everyone who took part in this year’s Garden and Allotment Competitions. πŸ‘πŸŒ±

This year saw a fantastic turnout, with lots of new faces getting involved, and it was wonderful to see just how much pride our community takes in their gardens and allotments.

Gardens and allotments play such an important role in our community. They not only provide beautiful spaces for people to enjoy, but also contribute hugely to wellbeing, biodiversity and the environment, providing valuable habitats for wildlife and helping to make our community greener and more enjoyable for everyone. πŸπŸ¦‹πŸŒΌ

A huge congratulations to all of our entrants. Whether you won, were highly commended, or simply took part, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for helping to make our community such a colourful and welcoming place. πŸŒΊπŸ’š

We look forward to seeing even more of you getting involved next year! 🌱🏑

🚍 Keeping our community spaces clean

We’ve noticed an increase in graffiti appearing on our bus shelters across the community.

Our dedicated staff are working hard to keep these areas clean, tidy and welcoming for everyone. Unfortunately, on many occasions, as soon as a shelter has been cleaned, it is being targeted again.

We would kindly ask everyone to respect these shared spaces. Our bus shelters are used by residents every day, and keeping them clean helps make our community a better place for everyone.

If you notice any graffiti or anti-social behaviour, please report it so we can take action.

Thank you for your support in helping us keep our community clean, green and beautiful. πŸ’š
