🚮🌿 Ty Illtud Community Litter Pickers 🌿🚮

Our second community litter pick is taking place on Thursday 18th June at Ty Illtud Community Centre, CF38 1DB.

Come along and help us keep our local area clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone. Whether you joined us for the first litter pick or are coming along for the first time, everyone is welcome!

Our No Mow May areas have proved to be a great success this year, with a wonderful variety of wildflowers appearing across our green spaces. Some of the species identified include Wild Mustard, Red Clover, Bluebells, Cuckoo Flower, Ribwort Plantain, Daisy, Creeping Buttercup, and even the beautiful Devil’s-bit Scabious.

These wildflowers are much more than just a colourful display. They provide vital food and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, helping to support local biodiversity and create healthier ecosystems. Increasing the variety of plants in our grassland areas also benefits birds and other wildlife, making our green spaces richer and more resilient.

Our Outdoor Team are now working hard to catch up with grass cutting and maintenance between the showers. We appreciate your patience as they continue to make the most of every dry spell to keep our parks and open spaces looking their best.

🌸🐝 A Splash of Colour for Our Community! 🐝🌸

It’s lovely to see our planters in full bloom, bringing vibrant colour to the area and providing an important source of food for our local bees and other pollinators. 🌺🌼

These beautiful displays not only brighten up our community spaces but also help support wildlife and biodiversity. Thank you to everyone who helps keep our village looking its best.
