A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Dementia Awareness Week. Pontypridd Town Council worked with the Turning Ponty Blue group to bring our community together with a week full of connection, memory and support — from sharing incredible old photos of Pontypridd that sparked conversations, to a fun dementia friendly quiz with artifacts from the Museum that got everyone thinking.

We welcomed residents local care home Ty Gwynno to The Bridge where people living with dementia and their families shared experiences and support. And to round off the week, the event at YMa created a space filled with music, stories and friendly faces.

Thank you to everyone involved. Together, we’re building a more understanding, compassionate Pontypridd.

It was fabulous to see so much joy and support for Wednesday's 'Turning Pontypridd Blue.' Dementia Awareness Week may be coming to an end but our support doesn't end here. We encourage anyone noticing changes in memory and those who support them to come to our weekly The Bridge Community Memory Support Group, Tuesday's 10-12 in Pontypridd Museum 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined Pontypridd Town Council for their reminiscence and myth-busting session today as part of Dementia Action Week. 💙

It was great to see people coming together to chat, share memories, learn more and help challenge the misconceptions around dementia.
