Severe drought has been declared in parts of Cornwall after months of low rainfall and the hottest summer on record.

A hosepipe ban remains in place across Cornwall.

Despite some welcome rain, South West Water says water supplies remain under pressure, with rivers still too low to meet demand and continued reliance on water stored in reservoirs.
