BBC Radio 4's Any Questions? is coming to Poole Museum in August 📻📢

Have you ever wanted to put your question directly to leading politicians, writers, thinkers and decision-makers? Then now's your chance!

On Friday 14 August 2026, BBC Radio 4's flagship political discussion programme Any Questions? will be broadcast live from Scaplen's Court.

First broadcast in 1948, the programme travels to a different location each week, giving audiences the opportunity to challenge a panel of influential guests on the issues that matter most. The panel is different every week – and your question could be part of the national conversation.

Step into the cool comfort of Poole Museum and discover our Shipwreck! Gallery ⚓️

Thanks to specialist climate control and air handling equipment, our incredible 2,000-year-old logboat can now be on open display for the very first time.

It’s the perfect place to escape the high temperatures, cool down, and soak up some culture instead. Plus, it's one of several cooler spots around the museum where you can take a break from the heat 🙌

A couple of weeks ago, we welcome a group of children from Poland for a special Pirate Workshop! 🏴‍☠️

They explored the museum, discovered stories from Poole's maritime past, and immersed themselves in a swashbuckling adventure packed with learning, fun and even some dressing up!

It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, curiosity and imagination throughout the day. Thank you to ABC Polska Sobotnia Szkoła im. Kornela Makuszyńskiego w Poole for spending time with us – we hope you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed hosting you!
