🎒 Starting a new school this September?

Whether it's Reception, moving up to secondary school, or changing schools, it can be a big step for children and parents alike.

Try these tips to make the transition a little smoother:

⭐ Chat about what to expect
⭐ Read books about starting school
⭐ Practise getting ready in the mornings
⭐ Label uniforms and belongings together
⭐ Encourage independence with simple tasks
⭐ Keep communication open and listen to any concerns

📚 Is your child starting a new school in September?

A new school can be an exciting adventure, but it's normal for children to feel a little nervous too.

Here are some simple ways to help them settle in:

✅ Talk positively about the change
✅ Visit the school beforehand, if possible
✅ Practise the journey together
✅ Establish a consistent bedtime routine
✅ Encourage them to share any worries or questions
✅ Celebrate small successes during the first few weeks

Remember, every child adjusts at their own pace. With support, reassurance and patience, they'll soon start building confidence and making new friends 💙
